Ian Glaubinger Launches A Personal New Print Series Titled: “4 X 4″

We wrote about a couple of projects by Ian Glaubinger last month, (HERE and HERE) and we are back in his corner with his all new project.  This new series is called “4 X 4″ and deals with some of the most recognizable foursomes across various themes.

We asked Ian about the project and here is what he had to say.  “Sometimes it’s tough to try and squeeze in personal projects with themes or ideas that you really want to do. I recently decided I wanted to do some little pieces that were very close to my heart as far as the subject matter was concerned. As I started brain storming I realized that a lot of the the things I enjoy came in groups of 4. So I started to expand upon that idea and really play off the number 4. And so the 4×4 series was born. I would do 4 individual screen prints, measuring 4″x4″, done in only 4 colors (3 printed colors and the paper counting as the 4th), all depicting some of my favorite groups of 4. I choose to feature the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (my personal favorite of all things pop-culture), The Beatles and one of my all time favorite subjects hockey (specifically NHL 90′s All Stars). I really hope everyone digs these pieces as much as I do because the subject matter is so personal to me. Who knows, if people go crazy for them I could do another series of 4x4s!”

Each print has the following specs:

3 color screen print
 4″x4″
 Printed on French Paper Dur-O-Tone: Butcher Orange 80lb
 Signed and Numbered
Limited Edition of 50
 Each print is a little different from one to the next. This is due to the texture of the paper used and the nature of screen printing

$4 each!
